The question...
When George W. stole the election in 2000, didn't the world expect us to correct the mistake in 2004?
Didn't our sister democracies expect the American electorate to correct the aberration of a stolen election in 2000?
Didn't we have to be involved in a war for George W. to be elected for the first time in 2004?
And weren't there some dirty tricks on the part of the Republicans that stole Ohio and the 2004 presidential election?
My answer...
The world has no right to an expectation regarding the US elections. Our elections (are supposed to) belong to us.
It never ceases to amaze that those who scream loudest about "globalism" are allied so closely to those who demand it.
We are an independent and sovereign nation that condemns itself mercilessly over the headlines of foreign, self-interested, tantrum driven tabloids from countries that can't even maintain civility without orwellian cctv cameras mounted nearly everywhere.
I didn't vote for him, but I hope Obama's presidency is peaceful and fabulously successful. As time allows your unfortunate case of Bush-Derangement-Syndrome to fade, I hope you too are able to recognize that the competition of ideas is what separates democracies from the tin pot dictatorships.
