I remember seeing this quote in (I think) a Gates of Vienna post. But apparently The Anchoress also used it, and referred to it in one of her
recent, excellent as usual , writings. It's a not very happy
prediction of the demise of humanist, socialist Europe, in favor of an Islamic one from The Brussels Journal. Because of the undeniable and unstoppable demographic changes occurring there, Europe as we know it will be gone in 20 years.
Broder pointed to the other customers and the passers-by and said melancholically: “We are watching the world of yesterday.”
