Marvin Harrison's Day

The Colts have been a little more of a controversial topic than usual this year. Many have a big problem with the financial arrangements involved in keeping the Colts in town with a new stadium set to open in 2008. (I think). We've been watching the defense slowly crumble for at least a few weeks, and Sunday's game just brought what the offense has been able - up to now - to blur into pretty sharp focus.
So I say let's allow Sunday to be about Marvin, because only the Colts can fix the Colts - if they even can. The loss doesn't diminish the magnitude of Mr Harrison's accomplishment, or the rarefied company he keeps in the record book.
Marvin Harrison's 13-yard reception on the third play of the fourth quarter was the 1,000th of his career. He joined Jerry Rice (1,549), Cris Carter (1,101) and Tim Brown (1,094) as the only players in NFL history with at least 1,000 receptions.
